Registration Overview

Events Planner version 1.2 has been released and is available for download.  You can get it from the Events Planner page on

The most notable feature is the ability to accept registrations for your free or paid events (using PayPal ExpressCheckout).  After updating the plugin, getting started is very easy.

1) Turn on the Registration Button

[custom_frame_center shadow="on"]
Activate the Registration Button
This feature was introduced to give you the option of individually controlling each event's registration button. Simply select "Yes" in the dropdown and publish the event to see the registration button. For free events, make sure to select "Yes" for "Is this a free event?" in the Times and Prices section.

2) For Paid Events

Select a payment choice
In the Payment Profiles section, please create at least one payment profile and Publish it. Don't worry, that information is not published or query-able from the front end. Then, for each event, select at least one Payment Choice in the Other Settings section.

3) Track Registrations

Hello, I have some questions regarding your plugin.

I have a client that needs me to provide an event registration solution that does the following:
    1) Offers individual and group pricing.
    2) Offers some type of spreadsheet/record of all attendees, most importantly for groups.

After spending some time with it, it seems your plugin already has the second part down. I’m not too sure if it already allows multiple pricing, or even automated discounts.

If it doesn’t currently, will it be offered in a future update? And is there an estimated price/release on the pro version?

After doing MUCH research, your plugin seems to be the best option. I hope to hear back soon.

      Hi Blaine.

Multiple pricing is available, with more options in the pro. Discount management will be in the pro version. The pro is a couple of weeks out. Hopefully should have it before the end of this month. I haven’t set any prices yet but rest assured it will be very reasonably priced.

I will send you an email shortly to discuss your specific needs.

      Thanks, Abel

Just wondering what file the paypal currency code is. need to change it to GBP.

    Thanks Alex

      Hi Alex.

Added GBP to the currency list, ran through a test, and committed to the repository. Should take about 30 minutes to become active. Please download it from the plugin repository, deactivate the current version and delete it (don’t worry, all data will still be intact), upload the new one, activate and you should see GBP in the Settings.

      Thanks, Abel

Hey, is it possible to get SEK in the currency list somehow?

    • Abel 12/13/2011 at 6:03 pm #

      Hi A-M.

I will add it to the next version. In the meantime, you can modify the following file: events-planner > application > config > settings-fields > epl_general_options array > epl_currency_code key. You will see the rest listed there.

      Thanks, Abel

I’ve been waiting for this. Is this out yet?

Can you please include invoice payment options for pre-bank payments?

    This would be very useful.

Can this run on any WordPress CMS Theme?

      Hi Idong.

The pro version will be available in the next week or two.

Events Planner can run on any CMS theme and you can modify the theme templates for your specific needs. As far as invoice payment option, can you please send some specific examples to help [@]} wpeventsplanner [.]} com?

      Thanks, Abel
